FACEBOOK's CEO MR. Mark Zuckerberg Launches New Service for Business

To help businesses and merchants facing the epidemic, Facebook has launched an online shop service. Under this new facility, shopkeepers will be able to create their own shops on Facebook and Instagram and will be able to decorate things and goods in their own way.

According to Facebook, the main and primary objective of this new facility is to ensure that small and medium-sized businesses have an online presence and can sustain themselves in the current situation.
The company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a live streaming that expanding e-commerce will be important to start rebuilding the economy in this era of epidemics. He said, 'If you can't physically open your store or restaurant, you can still take orders online and send them to people.'
Facebook said merchants would be free to build their own online shops, this could create significant new business opportunities for Facebook in payments and other services. Businesses will be able to buy advertisements for their shops, and will charge them when people use Facebook's checkout option.

Zuckerberg said shops can be found on businesses' Facebook pages and Instagram profiles, and they can also appear in stories or be promoted in advertisements. Items made available for business will appear within the shop, and users can save or order items.

Businesses can handle customer support issues through Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. Eventually, the company plans to browse the store catalog and shop directly from the chat window. It also plans to enable purchases from the live stream, allowing brands and manufacturers to tag items from their Facebook catalog, so that they appear at the bottom of the live video.
